Buffalo Niagara 360 is not your father’s professional group. No, BN360 is a bold, new organization, one intent on helping Buffalo and Western New York grow. It attracts young professionals for networking opportunities, plus it provides an environment for economic expansiona venue for extending a company’s influence outside the workplace. It allows business leaders to learn from one another, all the while gaining experience and partnerships that will aid in the growth of local businesses and the general wellness of Buffalo’s economy.
For the past year, BN360 has committed itself to providing professional connections to local business owners and employees. The group frequently hosts fun events like boat tours and lunches in order to display the many opportunities the city has to offer both in its landscape and its people.
Case in point is the group’s one-year anniversary event. If your main objective is to get business leaders together, what better way than to have a party? On September 17, BN360 invites its members and the general public to celebrate its one-year anniversary at a Spree-sponsored shindig. The event will take place at Shanghai Red’s on the downtown waterfront from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and costs just $10 for the general public; it’s free for BN360 members. The promise of great food and drinks is sure to draw entrepreneurs from all parts of the greater Buffalo region to participate in a delectable, fun-filled networking opportunity.
Clearly, such a group is invaluable in creating the city’s next generation of executives, especially when members already include representatives from Independent Health, M&T Bank, and Greatbatch, Inc. There is such a diverse array of participating businesses (the Buffalo Bills, Artpark, and Buffalo Spree, for example) within BN360, the opportunities for the members involved are almost unlimited.
So how do you get involved? Whether you want to join as an individual or as a company, BN360 offers several levels of involvement, none of which exceed a $50 membership fee. The group’s website (www.buffaloniagara360.org) offers a detailed portrait of the group’s objectives as well as a general idea of the companies and members involved. The anniversary party should prove a nice introduction for those unfamiliar with the group’s objectives.
As the Buffalo Niagara 360 mission statement states, “connectivity is at the program’s core.” Perhaps those connections will help take WNY into a brighter future.
